Long time front-page readers and forum-folk of theWAREHOUSE have likely noticed that about this time last year, the article updates were coming pretty regularly around every week or so. Lately, they've been coming about once a month. Well, part of that's been because of the Gojirra-like rise in popularity of theWAREHOUSE webcomic; it now being a regular MWF feature. Another part of that's the fact that I've been teaching a graphic design class at my old college; one last spring and one this fall. Yet another reason is because you stopped signalling left hand turns...that's just rude and I'm not going to take it any more.
But the reason I wanted to share with you today was this: theWAREHOUSE HOUSE!

Yup, that's right. Your friendly neighborhood webmaster and his Mary Jane done got themselves a little plot of land with a lovely house set up on it. I won't bore you with the details, but suffice it to say that we just finished moving out of our apartment at the end of September. We've spent many hours painting (with the help of friends!) and moving boxes (with even more help), and many more hours painting...and moving boxes.

But it's great, and it's ours, and we love it.

We had some friends over one Saturday to help - several of whom you can visit with on theFORUM, and we got a lot of painting done that day. I took some pictures! But you know me - I love to take pictures.

Yes, the great room has both a fireplace and a bar. Did I already mention that I love this house? Rock gave us a mini fridge for the bar - saweeet!

Anyway, you should probably expect the occasional home-based project to pop up on theWAREHOUSE in the future. It'll be great. The house was pretty much all white primer when we got in it; now it's almost all repainted the way we want it. There will be lots more changes and additions - but that's the point of having a house. Making it into your home.

I'll share more pictures later, I'm sure, but I'll try not to get too showoffy. We just really like our house.
Oh, and if any readers out there work for companies that want to sponsor totally awesome housewarming projects to the max - just email me and let me know. I'm trying to get Maxim or one of those guys to "pimp out" the bar. Haven't heard back - but haven't received a 'cease & desist' either. I'm just throwing the offer out there. You know.
I have also become great at signing my name. Unfortunately I think I'm burned out on it. I may invest in a rubber stamp with my name on it.

Our housewarming party is October 13th and there will be several people from theWAREHOUSE Forum there. I will try and set up a new article with pictures of all the awesome people to show you how much fun we have :) Then you can be all "oh dang, theFORUM really is sweet. I should check it out." and then I'll be all like "duh, I totally told you, like, fifty times."
The End
