I don't really work off a stock Photoshop file template; I usually just open up the previous comic's file and do a "Save As" to get the next comic in the series. As I start changing things around in the already-worked-on file I've noticed things match up really surprisingly well. For the most part it's the new comic's dialogue on the old comic's artwork, creating a sort of visual Mad Libs. It reminds me of those "no Garfield" comic strips that went around a few weeks ago.
